Community Impact & Erosion Prevention
Healthy trees safeguard our coastlines from erosion and provide habitats for native birds and insects. Through prudent pruning and planting, we maintain canopy cover and stabilize soil on steep slopes and gulches.
Why We Love Working on the Big Island
From rainforests near Hilo to windswept pastures of Waimea, each district has its own microclimate and plant community. Our work takes us into backyards and forests where we continue learning from kūpuna (elders) and fellow stewards. Being based here means we can respond quickly when storms hit and forge long‑term relationships with our neighbors.
